
On Friday, May 16, 2025, the Faculty of Science of Parahyangan Catholic University successfully held the 2nd Science Seminar of 2025 in the form of a Talk Show entitled “Information Security & Data Integrity in the Cyber Era”. Held at the PPAG UNPAR Auditorium, this activity presented a leading figure in the field of information technology, Mr. Toto Sugiri, as the main speaker, accompanied by two lecturers from the UNPAR Informatics Study Program, namely Mariskha Tri Adithia, PDEng and Pascal Alfadian Nugroho, M.Comp
The holding of this event is the result of good collaboration between the Faculty of Science UNPAR, the TOP Alumni Association (St. Aloysius School Bandung), and the UNPAR Alumni Association (IKA UNPAR), as a real form of synergy between the world of higher education and an active alumni network.
The event kicked off at 1:00 PM WIB with remarks from committee representatives, the Chair of the IKA UNPAR (National Student Association), and the Rector of UNPAR. The talk show began with an introduction from the Head of the Informatics Study Program, Mariskha Tri Adithia, PDEng., who provided an overview of the importance of information security in today’s digital world. The main discussion was dynamically moderated by Pascal Alfadian Nugroho, M.Comp., and proceeded interactively with a question-and-answer session enthusiastically received by the participants.
As the founder and CEO of Data Center Indonesia (DCI), Toto Sugiri shared his insights and in-depth experience regarding national data infrastructure management and highlighted the importance of maintaining information security in the face of increasing cyber threats. Strategic topics such as digital ethics, technological sustainability, and the readiness of Indonesian talent to face the era of digital transformation were the main highlights of the talk show.
The atmosphere of the event was further enhanced by a cultural performance from the UNPAR Traditional Arts Circle, which emphasized that harmony between science and arts and culture is a crucial element in a holistic educational process.
This activity reinforces the UNPAR Faculty of Science’s commitment to providing an inspiring and contextual learning space, and bridging the academic world with real-world issues emerging in today’s digital society.
