On Saturday, April 28, 2018, the Faculty of Information Technology and Science (FTIS) held a joint work program between the three study programs at FTIS, namely Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics. Science Fest: Stardust is FTIS’s largest student event created in order to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of FTIS.
Unlike typical FTIS event concepts, Science Fest aims to showcase FTIS’s creative and innovative side to the public. Held on the 3rd and 4th floors of Building 10, the event features an interactive festival concept. This is reflected not only in science and technology exhibitions at festival booths but also in the first escape room at Parahyangan Catholic University.
The concept of Science Fest: Stardust is an exhibition aimed at inspiring the wider public about the wonders of science and technology. Furthermore, the event is designed to celebrate science as the foundation of knowledge for many things. The science fest also hopes to introduce the three study programs under the auspices of FTIS: Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics Engineering.

The event was filled with numerous elements, including a science exhibition, food and beverage vendors, and a stage. The science exhibition included booths for the Mathematics Association and the Informatics Association, a Science Workshop, Far Games, Kiri applications, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Each booth presented elements of exact knowledge in an interactive format. Logic games and experiments were all presented in creative ways.
In addition, there were also various interactive activities from the MC, on-stage performances, mini-games, and live painting. The event closed with various performances from various bands at FTIS where every FTIS student and alumni could showcase their talents. Through this Science Fest: Stardust event, the committee team hopes that every public who comes can enjoy and celebrate the celebration and creation of science and technology of FTIS UNPAR students.
