FTIS Unpar students have once again achieved a proud achievement in the 2017 University Physics Competition (UPC). The team, consisting of Muhammad Arifin Dobson (Physics), Maria Gabriella Hadinata (Mathematics), and Liem Jonathan Dharmaatmaja (Mathematics), won a silver medal in the competition. In this competition, participants had to answer open-ended questions within 48 hours. Before the competition ended, participants had to write their answers in the form of a scientific paper.
In the 2017 UPC competition, Arifin, Maria, and Jonathan created an optimal travel plan to Mars for a rocket propelled by a sail problem. Another team from FTIS Unpar, consisting of Dini Widiana (Physics), Nadya Tjindra (Mathematics), and Glenn Reysan (Informatics Engineering), won a bronze medal by answering the same problem.

A bronze medal was won by the team consisting of Stevanus Setiawan (Physics), Elwin (Mathematics), and Edward Kevin (Mathematics). Unlike the previous two teams, this team solved the problem of determining the magnetic field required to guide an ion rocke

The 2017 UPC competition was an international competition, attracting 265 teams from countries such as Poland, China, Spain, Hong Kong, India, the United States, Norway, and Canada. Congratulations to the FTIS students. We hope they can maintain their excellent results.
