As part of the 27th FTIS Anniversary celebrations, on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, the Faculty of Information Technology and Science (FTIS) held an online family gathering for internal FTIS employees. The event, held as a talk show with the theme: “FTIS Through the Ages,” was moderated by FTIS lecturer Elisati Hulu, M.T.
The event featured speakers from former FTIS Deans: Aloysius Rusli, Ph.D. (Dean of FTIS from 1993 to 2003), Rosa de Lima E.P., Dra., M.Kom. (Dean of FTIS from 2003 to 2009), Dr. Julius Dharma Lesmono (Dean of FTIS from 2009 to 2011), Paulus Cahyono Tjiang, Ph.D. (Dean of FTIS from 2011 to 2015), and Dr. Ferry Jaya Permana, Drs., M.Si., ASAI (Dean of FTIS for the 2015-2019 period).
The event was opened by the current Dean of FTIS, Dr. rer. nat. Cecilia Esti Nugraheni, S.T., M.T. In her remarks, the Dean emphasized that each era has its own unique achievements. This event is also expected to provide insight into the history and development of FTIS through the sharing of experiences from former Deans.
To enliven the event, FTIS employees also participated in a video competition with FTIS-related themes, which was shown throughout the event. To liven up the atmosphere, entertainment was also provided in the form of a Kahoot quiz. Although not meeting in person, this event is expected to further strengthen the camaraderie among FTIS employees.
